My goodness, it feels like we went from fall to winter overnight! It’s going to be a chilly week here in Pennsylvania, and to be honest, I’m kind of excited about it. December should feel a little brisk, don’t you think? I love having an excuse to stay home, light a fire in the fireplace, turn on a good movie, and snuggle up with a cup of tea, a Christmas cookie, and a cat on my lap. Yes, please! With Thanksgiving being so late this year, I’m feeling a little behind on everything, but I’m hoping to wrap things up and catch up this week. A little decorating, a little shopping, a little baking—and probably more painting—sounds like the perfect plan to me. Below, I’m recapping anything you may have missed on the blog this week, including some tasty new recipes I think you’ll love. I hope you enjoy them! Oh, and just a quick art sale update: there won’t be anything new in the shop until Monday afternoon. After that, I’ll have a new collection of my small bottle brush tree paintings, a handful of small wreath paintings, and more oil painting studies available. Wishing you a cozy and productive week ahead! Peppermint Pound Cake - NEW! Looking for a holiday dessert that’s both simple and special?
