What’s Blooming Lately 🌷- Let’s Catch Up and Look Ahead

Good morning, my friend!

Wowza—it’s been a minute since I’ve sent one of these Saturday morning emails. Thanks so much for sticking around. I’ve got a bit to share, so this one’s a little longer than usual. Let’s dive in.

It’s been a chill, low-effort start to 2025 over here. Part of me feels a little guilty about that, but the other part is like, “If there’s ever a time to take it slow, it’s January and February,” right? Anyone else? But now that spring has officially arrived, it feels like time to come out of hibernation—and what better way than by bringing back these emails?

While things have felt slow in some ways, I have been busy behind the scenes. I’m currently participating in a really great art mentorship with one of my favorite artists, and it’s been such a gift. It’s helped me move past a few creative hurdles and find new inspiration. (You can see a peek at some of what I’ve been working on HERE and HERE.) I’m also hoping to start listing some new paintings for sale on my website soon. That’s a big goal for me this year—staying more consistent with my art and sharing it more regularly.

If you haven’t popped over to the blog in a while, now’s a great time! I’ve been posting new recipes and ideas (usually two each week), so there’s plenty of fresh inspiration waiting. I’ve shared a few of my recent favorites below to make it easy for you to explore.

Speaking of blog posts—I just kicked off a little mini-series all about Afternoon Tea! I went all out: three different tea sandwiches, several bite-sized desserts, homemade scones, and even a few crafty touches to make everything extra special and whimsical. Two posts are live already, with more coming soon. I had so much fun creating this series, and it’s something I may keep experimenting with throughout the year.

As for what else is on the horizon this year? Here’s a quick look at what’s on my mind:

  • Art has been a big focus for me, and I want to lean into that even more—maybe even explore sharing it in new ways or on a new platform. I think it might be fun to share my process a bit more.
  • Don’t worry, I’ll still be sharing plenty of recipes, home inspiration, gardening, and more.
  • I’m heading to England for the first time this summer to paint with two of my favorite people. I’ve never been, and I couldn’t be more excited!
  • I have a few home projects I really want to tackle. I’ve been putting some things off for too long—it’s time to dive in.
  • Garden season is right around the corner. With hellebores blooming, daffodils popping up, and buds on the trees, I’m feeling all kinds of hopeful and inspired.

That’s the big update for now! You’ll find a few of my favorite recent blog posts linked below. And as always, if you have questions, ideas, or things you’d like to see or learn, just hit reply. I’d truly love to hear from you.

Wishing you a beautiful day and a season full of fresh energy and creativity. Before you go, be sure to check out these new posts on the blog:
