Trying to slow down this season while wrestling with my Christmas tree and finding tiny moments of magic along the way... Happy Sunday evening. I usually send this little note on Saturday mornings, but the Thanksgiving holiday threw my rhythm off a bit, so here we are tonight. I hope you don’t mind the change. Tomorrow is December. My goodness. I am still feeling the pressure of the season, but I made a lot of progress in November in hopes of giving myself a slower December, and I am grateful for every bit of it. I know the coming weeks will still be full, but I’m hoping I’ve carved out enough space to slow down, breathe, and enjoy a few things that fill up my hot cocoa cup. I am still working on my tree. Just one tree this year. I simplified as much as I could. Though it’s similar to the past two years, it also feels completely different and has been a bit of a challenge. Right now it’s in that try-not-to-panic-it-will-all-work-out stage. Fingers crossed. And if it doesn’t come together the way I imagine, that’s alright too. There is always next year. This is a little random, but I have to share a Christmas home tour I discovered. I think it’s from last year, but I stumbled upon it recently and cannot stop looking at it. It might be my favorite Christmas home tour ever. It will not be everyone’s style, but I adore it. And since I already love everything he does, his Instagram included, it came as no surprise. His book is wonderful too. On a more festive note, there is a new selection of treats on the blog this week. You’ll find those below. Next week I hope to start sharing some new Christmas crafts and decorating ideas. I have quite a few projects almost finished, so I’m hoping to wrap them up, edit the photos, and get everything posted. Until then, if you are craving some handmade holiday inspiration, there is plenty waiting for you on the blog. Important Holiday Art Sale Update I am so happy to share that a new collection of my Bottle Brush Tree Ornaments is coming to the shop. These are small oil paintings of bottle brush trees, framed in glass and metal with a brass finish. I will have about forty available this season. Some are still drying, but around twenty will be in my shop this Friday, December 5 at noon EST. I know many of you have been waiting for these, and I am thrilled to finally bring them to you. They will all go live at the same time. A quick reminder that adding one to your cart does not guarantee it’s yours. Checkout is the only way to secure an item. The final wreaths and trees are also available in the shop. And I may have a few additional paintings coming between now and Christmas. We will see where the days lead. A Few Treasures Worth Sharing I thought I would highlight a few things for the artists and creative souls in your life. (Or yourself!)
And since I can never resist a Christmas favorite or two…
